Privacy & site activity

Residential Technology Design uses project information to help plan home technology and keeps property drawings behind a private link and password.

Property access records

The RTD administrator can see the name you enter, login and workspace-opening times, saved-version activity, your connection’s IP address, approximate region when available, and browser information. A shared-password name is self-reported. These records help the administrator understand who accessed a project and investigate unexpected access.

Property drawings, saved layouts and access records are stored with the website’s hosting provider. They are not public. Anyone with a property’s complete link and password can access and edit that property.

Product analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people use RTD: page types, planner tabs, drawing types, equipment actions, tools, saves and cost-editing features. Analytics uses a random identifier for the browser tab’s session. We do not send property addresses, private link identifiers, passwords, supplied names, plan files, equipment positions or free-text entries to PostHog. Session recording is not enabled. The analytics integration respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting.
